Privacy policy
How we handle personal data under Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 (the "PDPA"). In short: we only collect what you give us, we keep proof of your consent, and we never sell or share your contact details. The one form of tracking is an advertising pixel that stays off unless you accept it.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is JengaWealth (registered name to be added). You can reach us about anything on this page at office@jengawealth.com.
What we collect, and only when you give it
We do not collect personal data just because you read the site. We collect personal data only when you fill in the waitlist form, and only these fields:
- Your first name and phone number.
- The topic you want to learn and your level.
- Optionally, your region and the best time to call.
- Your consent choices, and — as proof of consent required by the PDPA — the exact version of the consent wording you saw (currently
v1), the date and time, your IP address and your browser's user-agent.
We do not ask for your email, your national ID, or any financial account details, and you should never send them to us.
Why we use it
To contact you about the request you made, and — only if you tick the optional second box — to send you occasional news about our courses. Our legal basis is your consent.
Sharing your details
We do not sell, rent or pass your name, phone number or other contact details to any third party. Those stay in our own system. We use no third-party analytics and no third-party fonts.
Advertising measurement (Meta pixel)
We can use the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel to measure how well our ads work. It is off by default and loads only after you press "Accept" on the consent banner. If you accept, it sends Meta your IP address, the pages you visit on this site and a Meta cookie that links the visit to your Facebook activity. It does not receive your name or phone number — your form details never reach Meta.
You can change your mind at any time: press "Decline" on the banner, or clear this site's storage in your browser, and the pixel stops loading.
Where your data is kept
Waitlist submissions go to a single, isolated endpoint and its database, kept separate from the rest of the site. They are never built into the public pages. This is deliberate, so the data can be relocated if that is required, without affecting the website.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details only for as long as needed to contact you about your request and, if you opted in, to tell you about courses. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your rights under the PDPA
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your data.
- Withdraw your consent at any time — this stops future messages.
To use any of these, contact us at office@jengawealth.com. You also have the right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission.
Cookies
The site itself sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Small browser storage remembers your consent choice and page preferences. If you accept advertising measurement above, the Meta pixel sets its own cookie; declining, or clearing this site's storage, removes it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date below. Consent wording is versioned — if it changes, we record which version each person agreed to.
